2-Trinity Church

3-Queen Anne Square
Includes:
- Birthplace of Commodore Matthew Calbraith Perry
4-Museum of Newport History
Includes:
- Exhibit for Commodore Matthew Calbraith Perry's older brother, Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry
- Collection of multiple lithographs, silver items, coin, medal, and box from the Opening of Japan (not displayed, but can be viewed online)
Note: Expected to reopen in February 2027. There will be an entrance fee.


5-Oliver Hazard Perry Monument/

6-Colony House
Includes:
- Location of 1855 Speech by Commodore Matthew Calbraith Perry

at Newport City Hall
8-Congdon Parks
Includes:
- Cherry trees donated by Shimoda in 1959


9-Island Cemetery
Includes:
- Grave of Commodore Matthew Calbraith Perry
- Grave of Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry
- Belmont Chapel in honor of Commodore Perry's granddaughter
Note: Belmont Chapel is usually locked.
